Interview time today! I’m hosting T.C. Wheeler on my blog, author of “First Comes Love, Then Comes…”, a romance novel releasing today. Happy release day!
My questions are bolded, author’s responses are in regular font.
1) What’s the hardest part of being an author?
The hardest part of being an author is coming up with a story that you feel confident about to release to your audience. As an author, you can come up with millions of stories, conflicts, danger, and think that your audience will not be happy with it. Me personally, I went back and forth until I was confident that the public will love. I said to myself “If they like it great, if not, maybe they will enjoy the next one.”
2) Can you give us a short synopsis of First Comes Love, Then Comes…?
Can a young married couple beat the odds of this modern day society, lies, rumors, and each other? With this couple, they slowly find out that all the relationships that the television shows you is just that…for television. This story puts a real definition of what most married couples see after love in which the popular nursery rhyme doesn’t tell you.
3) Is this part of a series, or stand-alone?
First Comes Love, Then Comes…was supposed to be a stand-alone book, but my readers want to know more about the adventure of my two main characters; Jacob and Rachel. Being that I am here to keep the audience intrigued, I have put my wondrous mind back to work to make a second installment.
4) How many hours per day do you spend writing?
Every day is different. One day I can put in 12 hours, another day I will only have 10 minutes of writing in me. I get burst of writing at a time. One time a burst lasted almost 24 hours. I never force myself to write. Writing is my passion so I will never grow tired of it. If I was to push myself to write, then I will be unsatisfied with what I have written. That’s one thing I always tell people. Never force it. It will flow out of you when you let it.
5) What is your favorite book in the same genre as yours?
I have many books that I can read over and over. I admire Emily Griffins Baby Proof but I love the genre that I have written my book in. I am a diverse reader but I always find myself back in this genre specifically.
Thank you for having me. It’s been a pleasure answering your questions.
Marriage is a hard road. It’s even harder when you’re young and have everything coming at you from left field. Rachel and Jacob takes you on a journey of what the nursery rhyme doesn’t fully express. Rachel, a gorgeous 20 year old woman along with her flawless husband Jacob gets through a long hard road of getting married, not receiving some of their family member’s blessings and not having agreements on whether the time is here to have a baby.
They overcame the hardship of finishing school, starting businesses, and depression over not conceiving the first time around. Now in the present days, everything seems to be going great-until Rachel overheard a conversation that Jacob was having over the phone. From women trying to kill her man, to mysterious phone calls, to a HUGE secret everyone knows about except Rachel-This couple has something new around every corner. A single day changed their lives forever, but the question is: did it change for better or worse?
A vision and a past time that turned into a profession. At 25, TC Wheeler; hailing from Hollis Queens, New York, is making a name for herself. Instead of going the traditional route, and finding someone to publish and sell her book, she took matters into her own hands and birth TC Wheeler Publications. Through her love of books and writing, TC has made characters come alive, life lessons told, and added a little comedy to it all. Even though she has just recently popped up on the scene, this woman is no stranger to the limelight. As modest as she is, others has submitted her works into numerous contests and local papers, and hands down, she has stirred the pot and caught people’s attention. She has done speaking engagements around the east coast, motivated others to follow their dreams, and help people change their outlook on life; just by her words on paper. TC is a very powerful writer and a very remarkable woman. With her comedy and her real life point of views, she has fans all across the board. TC explains that her main goal with this publication is to give those who feel their voice isn’t loud enough a microphone; and that is what she plans to do.
